First and foremost, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone there seemed to be giving their absolute best whenever I interacted with them. Second, the location was superb. It was a quick walk to the ferry, Canal street, the French Quarter, and the WWII museum. Very well situated and close to public transportation stops which we used extensively.

The home of jazz, intriguing New Orleans evokes images of Louis Armstrong, wrought-iron balconies and mouth-watering Cajun cuisine. Louisiana’s largest city, the Big Easy is the beating heart of the Deep South.
Dance down Bourbon Street, where jazz saxophones ring out of traditional bars mixed with more colorful nightlife and entertainment venues. There are several New Orleans hotels near Bourbon Street, spread around the French Quarter with its distinctive Creole architecture.
To the south is Jackson Square, dominated by St. Louis Cathedral. Horses and carts wait patiently by the square, and locals set up their stools and start playing catchy tunes. Just behind is the legendary Mississippi River whose waters are still plied by paddle steamers.
From the river you get great views of the CBD (downtown) skyscrapers and the Louisiana Superdome. Booking.com has several hotels nearby, including some on Canal Street, where streetcars and the famous New Orleans Mardi Gras carnival pass down.
In the northern suburbs is New Orleans City Park, one of the oldest US parks and larger than NYC’s Central Park. Waterways lining it flow into large Lake Pontchartrain bordered by a bayou.
We stayed in the French Quater, which was perfect.
We stayed in the French Quater, which was perfect. I really enjoyed the steam boat trip and the Oak Alley plantation. We did do the plantation ourselves and the Steam Boat as it is cheaper to do online.

NOLA comes with superb french district night-out.
NOLA comes with superb french district night-out. Restaurants and clubs are chock-full with jazz bands all night long. Prices aren't economical, but it's worth spending few nights in the vintage district as it is like taking a journey to the past with timeless architectural features. Don't miss out a daily tour in the swamp just reasonable miles off the city or a plantation tour. Both come with impressive natural flora and fauna as well as awareness of recent history raising plenty of questions.

In-town for Jazz Festival (May 2-7, 2024).
In-town for Jazz Festival (May 2-7, 2024). Highly recommend this event. Enjoyed NOLA overall. Felt safe and comfortable at all hours of day and night. Friendly people. Good southern hospitality.
The French Quarter has a lot to offer. Almost continuous music by world-class musicians both on the street and inside venues. Frenchman's Street is a good music destination, in many ways better than Bourbon Street. Most venues have no cover-charge.
Jackson Square is very historic and well maintained, as is the RC Cathedral at the square. Countless excellent restaurants. City is very walkable and fairly easy to get around in.
Washington Square and Armstrong Park are both nice quiet and safe refuges from the hustle and action of the Quarter.

Something for everyone.
Something for everyone. This was a friends trip with six of us, so various interests. Walking tours, Art Museum, Bourbon Street at night, Plantation and Swamp tours. We stayed in Mid City, so quiet and only three blocks from streetcar (which was easy to use) stop to the French Quarter.
The staff was the friendliest ever. The room and entire hotel were so clean. Bed was super comfortable. I loved the chandeliers, the hardwood floors, and the art. The full-sized bathtub was a huge hit with me. I took a hot relaxing bath every night after walking miles in the Quarter. The location on the most beautiful street in the French Quarter is perfect...literally a few steps from Jackson Square. We have stayed at many establishments during our many trips to New Orleans, but this hotel will be our pick from now on.
(Senate) Front of house service was exceptional! His knowledge of New Orleans French Quarter was on point. My wife and I found his tips and recommendations extremely helpful during our stay while we were on holidays from Australia in September. If only more front of house managers were like him.
The property was tidy and felt very welcoming. The cleanliness of our room was very pleasant. The outdoor garden area is a great addition to be able to unwind after spending a busy day on the streets of New Orleans.
Was here for Mardi Gras, so the location is excellent! Parades pass right by hotel on St. Charles, quick walk to French Quarter and not too bad a walk to the Garden District, or anywhere in downtown. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, room had refrigerator, bed was very comfortable, room was sizable. They sell tickets to the stands out front (we didn't buy any) so that is convenient. Desk clerks were very nice and friendly, so were the housekeepers and maintenance and security staff we encountered.
WG Creole House is an absolutely wonderful place to stay: beautifully appointed, meticulously clean, and conveniently located, within walking distance of downtown, the convention center, Canal Street, and the French Quarter. Melissa is a wonderfully friendly innkeeper who is passionate about her city and wants all her guests to experience the best of New Orleans, including experiences and dining to be had off the beaten path. This place will be our go-to for all future visits to the Crescent City!
The location was great, on Decatur Street, near Canal, but without the road noise of being on Canal. A great location for access to Royal St., Iberville, Bienville, easily walkable to the entire French Quarter. We loved the mini-kitchen, with fridge, microwave, coffee maker. We had a small suite, so a separate bedroom and living room. Very comfortable for a New Orleans stay. The fourth floor and seventh floor courtyards were really nice, a great way to be above the city, and enjoy the outdoors.
The location was great for visiting the best spots in New Orleans, just a short drive or ferry ride and you're right in the heart of the French Quarter. The house itself just exudes that feeling of Mardi Gras and the history of the area. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive, giving us a rundown of the neighborhood and making sure any needs were met. Definitely would stay again.
The location of this hotel is AMAZING just a short walk across Canal street and you are in the heart of New Orleans- 15 minutes to Jackson Square/Cafe Du Monde/The French Quarter.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor of the entire hotel was so well done- little details like the shower curtain were even considered. I would absolutely come back here again!
It is clean, staff was great, quiet inside hotel despite it being right on bourbon street. I also really liked that you didn’t need to exit the hotel to access your vehicle. Located right in the French quarter and very close to canal street, Jackson square, and within walking distance to the French market.
Apartment is spacious, very clean, secure and really comfortable. Victor was really responsive and helpful whenever we had any questions/issues. All communications and use of the apartment were very smooth. Central position, walkable to both the french quarter, downtown and garden district.
The location in the French Quarter of New Orleans was excellent; we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The staff were all very courteous and professional. It was very convenient to be able to park securely at the hotel rather than farther away as happens at other hotels
Hotel de la Monnaie is a wonderful boutique hotel on the edge of the French Quarter of New Orleans. It has all the amenities we required and the suite we got was so much better than a typical hotel room. Really enjoyed our stay here!
Beautiful, charming house just a short tram ride away from the Garden District and the French Quarter. Travis was helpful and responsive and Melissa was lovely. I would definitely recommend this place over any hotel in town.
The room exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, spacious and cool. The neighborhood is awesome, twenty minutes away from the French Quarter, and next to the coolest bars in New Orleans. We highly recommend it!
Location, we spent time in the French Quarter and the Garden District. We were able to walk and take the Street car to all the places we wanted to see. Hotel staff were very polite and friendly.
loved being in the Garden district as it’s quieter but there is a tram just outside the hotel to take you to the French quarter easily. the beds were very comfortable and the roof top bar was fun
Wonderful place, we loved our stay here. Beautiful and so comfortable, great location to explore New Orleans without being in the middle of the chaos of the French Quarter.
